21 Days of Gratitude

Last week I decided to start keeping a simple journal of things, people, moments I am grateful for in my life. Take the leap & join me for 21 days of gratitude starting today just verbalize or write down something/someone you are grateful for.

Day 1 I am grateful for the friendships I have in my life especially grateful for a true friend, Katy no matter time it distance, you are always there.

Day 2 of gratitude, today I am grateful for compassion. My ability to have compassion for others & myself. Compassion gives us a more optimistic outlook on life. When we cultivate compassion we become more giving, thankful & present. We get sick less by focusing our energy on compassion & not cultivating illness weakness or stress in ourselves. Being compassionate to ones self is much harder than others, because we are usually harder on ourselves.

Day 3 of gratitude, today I am grateful for my sense of smell. I love how a scent can take you on a journey, like when I smell fresh pita bread & Zatar it reminds me of growing up and the smell of the streets of Jordan. A smell can calm your nerves or perk up your energy.

Day 4 of gratitude, today I am grateful for my parents. Who created a very unique family - for always giving me unconditional love even when they disagree with me. For teaching me values & encouraging my seeking. For teaching me the importance of taking care of #1. “We work on ourselves in order to help others, but also we help others in order to work on ourselves.” ~Pema Chodron

Day 5 of gratitude, today I am grateful for my eyesight. With our eyes we see the world. Our vision directly affect our balance. Test yourself stand on one leg with eyes open - balanced & easy, close your eyes in the same position & see how you feel! Truly grateful to be able to see all the beauty in the world!
